yeah its slow 4xwrite 4x rewrite and 4x DVD
you would only buy this if your very short on cash or like me a little care lessIf you you dont have DVD or a CD-RW and only have two 5.25 bays in your comp like me sell your CDplayer and buy a DVD and CDplayer unit and separte CD-RW
Dont buy a combined CR-RW and DVD as you may think at the time of buying you will just set it to run and the slow 4x speed wont matter because it does is a bitch and as you sit there waiting you just wish you hadnt got it. i have now sold my Toshiba CD-RW/DVD-ROM and relace it along with me CDplayer for a CD-RW and a combined DVD and CD drive...

Great piece of kit. A little slow though...  |
Overall, this is one great piece of kit, with the facilitites to bot copy CDs and watch movies.The only downside to this product is that its a little on the slow side. (Its ok for movies, but when you start with software and writing, you can feel the time passing). For a little extra cash, you could get 2 seperate drives, both of which could be faster than this one. However, if you dont have the space in your PC to spare (let alone the cash) then this is the perfect solution to wanting both a DVD and a CD writer in your PC. Also, Because its by Toshiba, you know that it will be reliable, due to having a strong brand name behind it!
